About Jess

Jess Hogan is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor in Kansas City,  She reluctantly tried yoga in the fall of 2014 as a way to address her growing anxiety and depression. In spite of her apprehension she quickly remembered how at home she felt when her body was active..... 

What is Accessible Yoga?

Jess is especially passionate about encouraging yoga for everyone regardless of their age, size, color, gender, ability, identity, and economic status.  In June of 2019 Jess earned a certification to teach Accessible Yoga....

Zines are a way to share your art, writing, poetry, thoughts, passions, etc. with the world without the mainstream barriers of editors, publishers, high printing costs, etc.

A morning yoga practice enables you to relieve stiffness in the body and instills the focus and energy needed to complete the day’s tasks with ease. Get the blood flowing and bring some awareness into your muscles and connective tissue with breath work, flowing movement, longer held postures and some core work. All levels welcome.

Vinyasa is a sanskrit word that means "to place in a sacred and/or special way." In this all levels class you will be encouraged to move intuitively and at your own pace. Expect an energetic and well rounded flow style class that allows you to personalize your practice as needed in order to cultivate body awareness and a connection to the whole self: mind+body+spirit.

There is an integration of basic postures, and the opportunity for more experienced practitioners of yoga to take modifications that suit their practice. You will experience the combination of vinyasa flow (breath to movement) and restorative practices (relaxing poses that are held longer).

Students will be guided to engage in personal inquiry and observation throughout the class. Some experience is recommended, but modifications will be offered to beginners.
