About Jess

Jess Hogan is a 200 hour certified yoga instructor in Kansas City,  She reluctantly tried yoga in the fall of 2014 as a way to address her growing anxiety and depression. In spite of her apprehension she quickly remembered how at home she felt when her body was active..... 

What is Accessible Yoga?

Jess is especially passionate about encouraging yoga for everyone regardless of their age, size, color, gender, ability, identity, and economic status.  In June of 2019 Jess earned a certification to teach Accessible Yoga....

This 60 minute class works from the ground up. Classes begin with breath work and a gentle warm up. There is an integration of basic postures, and the opportunity for more experienced practitioners of yoga to take modifications that suit their practice. You will experience the combination of vinyasa flow (breath to movement) and restorative practices (relaxing poses that are held longer).

This 60 minute class explores asana (poses) and pranayama (energy work with breath) as tools for transformation inside and out. The practice will flow in a vinyasa style, yet poses will be sustained long enough to deeply experience each posture. Students will be guided to engage in personal inquiry and observation throughout the class. Some experience  is recommended, but modifications will be offered to beginners.
